Aila Health Ambassador Spotlight

As we build out our innovative digital health model, we are passionate about bringing patient voices front and center. Aila Health's ambassador program ensures that patients are seen, heard, and are directly involved in Aila's product design.

Meet Jenna Ziegler

Jenna Ziegler

As an Aila Ambassador, Jenna Ziegler empowers other patients by sharing her story and insights with ulcerative colitis (UC) and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) community. Jenna is a writer, social media marketer, and patient advocate. She was diagnosed with UC in 2014 and also lives with two related conditions: enteropathic arthritis and a rare autoimmune liver disease called primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC).

Jenna created her blog, The Comical Colon, to share her medical journey and offer hope, practical tips, and sensible chuckles to others in the IBD and PSC community. On her website, she writes articles on the topics of self-care, tests and procedures, biologics, chronic illness book reviews, and more.

She also created The Comical Colon’s PSC Hub to share resources and research papers on an off-label drug that saved her life. She regularly works with rare disease patients and their families, fellow advocates, and physicians to help the PSC community find the information they need to make the best decisions for their chronic illness journey.

Aila Health Ambassador Program

We have talked with hundreds of chronic illness and autoimmune patients and are always looking to meet new inspiring advocates who want to bring about change and new solutions for invisible illnesses. Aila Health ambassadors leverage their expertise to raise awareness about Aila Health in their communities and on social media. Our ambassadors understand what is like to live with a chronic condition and have been working for years on navigating the health system to manage their care.

We also consider #chronicillnesswarriors, like our ambassadors, as the strongest and most inspiring people we have met and love to celebrate their stories in our community.
